Boards hit by a 'bot (or at least an idiot)

Can something be done to stop idiotic posts (a la duko) from spamming the forum?

Would it be too much to enforce registration?

...but even if we can't have that, would it be possible for the board to limit the rate of unregistered posts from a particular IP address? That might reduce some of this rubbish.
 
Only a few of the forums are unregistered - these are the news and articles forums and are done so such that non-members can comment. The forum software already has flodd control, but the bot is spoofing IP's so the software can't controll it - if it was from a single IP then I would have just blocked it long ago.

Yes, but those are the forums that have the problem with bots.
