BioWare's Mass Effect in development for PS3?

According to a report on Shacknews, BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka apparently let slip to gamers attending the Video Games Live concert in Edmonton, Canada earlier in the week that the dev's working with Sony's new console

I doubt it'll happen (since MS published Mass Effect correct me if I'm wrong), still, it seem like Bioware want to make games for the PS3. KOTOR 3 on the PS3, maybe?

Bioware making a PS3 game is interesting though.

Bioware has 2 unannounced next gen games, so this is no surprise. It's not ME though!

Anyway, I hope all their console games show on the 360 'cause I don't want to buy another console.

They were brought under an umbrella company, with major bucks so that they need not worry about sutainability. They are sharing tech with Pandemic, should be an interesting merger, ME can certainly use Pandemics expertise with realtime combat, and Pandemic will benefit from the RPG experience of Bioware.

Bioware isn't doing KOTOR, I think Obsidian might be the ones making part 3, and it's expected to be cross platform AFAIK.

i don't understand why if you are publisher the dev cannot make a game for another console. is this because MGS provides technical support for development of game???

Uhm... Because the publisher publishes the game...? And advertises it. And pays for it.

It's difficult for one dev studio to jump publisher for every game - these days developers are tied to one publisher, and also work on more than one game at once depending on their size, so they need to stay with one publisher.
