Battlefield 4 official discussion/thread. [PS4,XO,PS3,X360]

@milk

You might want to try Specs Ops The Line.
IMO it's the only recent game that manage to deliver a convincing anti-war message.
Sorry it's OT.

That's why 97% of my PS3/X360 games are 1st party wares. Shame DICE is being forced by their EA overlords on meeting the PS4/XB1 launch dates.

You missed out on a lot of good games, if not most of them.

Not really. If the lead platform was PC, most likely I purchased the PC version (FarCry series, BF series, Crysis series, etc...). My PC is a monster, so it would be quite stupid to purchase something less than. Consoles bread and butter for me are their internal/1st party wares. So I'm good... :D

Yep, getting it on PC this time, at least my GTX760 can run it at 1080p with some decent settings, I don't even care if my frame rate doesn't stay constant 60.

I also read that they recommend a 6 cores AMD CPU, GTX 660 3Gb of Vram and PS4 comes out very well compared to it.
XBO also fits match the recommended requirements.

Not bad if you ask me.
Also, price wise. a GTX 660 cost as much's as a PS4.

Does a 660 has 3 gigs memory??
My 670 has only 2 gigs :(

It begins...I did hope that I could wait a little bit longer for upgrading my PC...but now the first AAA cross-gen multiplat title seems to exceed my rig.

If I am not mistaken GTX 660 it's 2Gb.
Steam Surveys says that 1.10% of users have 3Gb of VRAM so I think that 3Gb is beyond most/average PCs.

Nope...my feeling that a 3G 7950 is a better purchase then a 2G GTX 760 validated :p

Nvidia has been scrimping on RAM for their cards for a long while, not cool.

This is the original system requirements information.

Xbone actually is under those. Also GTX 660 doesn't cost nowhere near $399...

Looks like the delayed XBone version development rumours are true. The demos are crashing to Windows desktops.

I am not buying the PS4 version at all, the next gen console development seems to be lacking uptill now.

EDIT: Edited my post to make it more clear that I am not buying the ps4 version. This news is for theXBOne version.

Have they shown it running on a PS4 devkit yet ?

As is the PS4 unless the PS4 has been upgraded with more CUs and a much higher clock? So, better to say that next gen consoles are under the recommended specs.

Which in the end doesn't mean anything as Xbox One and PS4 aren't PCs.

Regards,
SB

Isn't the 7850 just behind a GTX 660, and the 7870 is just above? So wouldn't the PS4 pretty much meet the recommended requirements? Of course this doesn't have much relevance in regards to a console.
