Did anyone else notice the drone in the video? I think that would be a pretty neat addition if you could actually control one, i.e for disarming MCOM's.

There's a robotics company a few towns over from me, incidentally the same town as the youtube video posted by Arwin for 3D Printing technology, called iRobot, who has a withstanding military contract and are responsible for supplying troops with an IED disposal drone called "The Warrior." I think adding one of these drones as a feature of BF3 would really heighten the realism.
Anyway, everything I saw at Gamescom was awesome, ranging from the co-op gameplay, which even looked great on a PS3, to the jets.
Production of BF3 is coming along magnificently. Thanks DICE for answering my prayers!
*edit* Apparently, the bot has been confirmed as an actual addition, according to the fact sheet posted on PBF:
