Sounds like Sony is gearing for Tflops open warfare, surely one doesn't easily advertise this metrics without getting familiar with what the competition has in store. The CU stockpile reduction treaty is no more, from here on out nothing is holding Sony back.
That statement pretty much just says that it will have more TFlops than PS4 Pro, based on the context.
It's not saying anything, other than they are following the standard practice for the next console and not doing something Nintendo-like, targeting their core audience with what they know their core audience wants and with what will drive adoption of a new platform. In a statement targeted at their investors, so in 'investor speak'. Sony probably had to front a number of pressing technological questions from their investors such as, "will the PS5 have the graphics?" and "are they going to put the processor at the centre or on the fringes?" and maybe even, "what about memory? Memory prices have remained expensive, so will you be avoiding using memory in PS5 or will you be continuing with that additional cost?"

It's absolutely right though...the rendering speed will faster due to SSD he's not said "SSD makes the GPU go faster"?
It's absolutely not right at all. The speed of loading the assets will be faster, but that does not make the rendering speed faster. That's like saying using a 5G Wireless Cellphone for music streaming in your car will dramatically increase the driving speed of the car.
Actually it's more like 5G on your phone increases the speed at which it renders web pages. Rendering being the wrong word for technical people.
It's like saying that if you increase torque on low gears and keep the same on high gears, your car will take less time to go anyplace.
Well, with 5G you can stream higher resolution audio and getting better sound quality will likely make you turn the volume up wich in turn make the right foot heavier on the pedal
