Ati using .09 micron late 2004

Acording to this post ati will be moving to .09 by 2004. Makes you wonder if they wont be down further for a 2005 launch of the xbox .


What is everyones take on this .

Just meant to spark some conversation and to pass down info on ati happenings .

Its nice to know though that if the xbox 2 and the gamecube 2 were launched in 2005 ati would have some prior knowledge of the process and could perhaps get alot out of it like .13 and the 9700pro .

Be very careful to dissect marketing talk. His statement is more interesting if it was "expect to ship products in this technology in the latter part of 2004". "have solutions" can mean "start sampling" - and absolutely no one has the right to accuse him of misleading the press if this is the case. It was after all, a clear and precise statement - from engineering POV.
