ATI to launch at same time as nvidia?

Not all sites can send multiple reporters to multiple conferences at the approximately same time. It depends where it's scheddule, and how much money you need to send your guys to each conferences :)

PS: From the various rumors, it's seems that NV40 is more different from NV35 than R420 from R350, it think i would go to NV40 then. But weel, i'm not under NDA so i don't know if it's true, and i'm not a reporter, so i won't have this dilema :D 8)

nope, the party is the moment the nv40 gets removed from the desks, and the strippers come out. at least last time, THAT was when the party started :D
If i read correctly
Admission to official launch event for NVIDIA's next GeForce GPU and BYOC LAN finals: 6:30 pm to midnight
So i would think that's it's not the case this time.
Looking at Ati's event page, nothing scheddule on the 13th for the moment ;)

To my knowledge, NVidia will continue to support AGP. ATI on the other hand is moving quite fast to PCIe. On the roadmap, I only saw one AGP part and that was in the high end. They may continue to sell the R350/RV360 to fill the mid end AGP segment. But really, I'm just speculating. :D

I suppose that NV40 will be the last AGP chip from NV. All next will be PCIE and they'll use bridge chip to make AGP cards from it. It's really simple, you know? :)

Time and availability are the only issues - press events like these are always payed for in full (including flights, hotels and usually even meals) by whoever is holding the event- that should be pretty obvious though.

According to Anand, that's not true.
Hmm ok how about this, you'll read about NV40 before you read about R420. Is that an ok scrap to tide you over for a couple of weeks?

Please, not another mindless scrap of meaningless scuttlebutt from AT....! Life is too short for that sort of abuse...:D I "read about" nV30 for quite sometime prior to nV30 being pulled and cancelled, and much of what I "read" about it was way off the mark. I'll be reading again, but only when people have actual review samples in hand that they may review objectively and analytically, and I can read about concrete ship dates at the same time.

So why do you bother answer

Well, it's his 4th/5th whith the same "wake me up when there's some review etc.", it's beginning to be annoying at last.

And for " " trophies, i think he must have some space issues now ;)

What. The R420/NV40 speed bump refresh won't have an AGP part??

Alot of the roadmaps I've seen look something similar to This One from the 3Dcenter, and don't show any future AGP cards beyond the release of the NV40.
However that may be nV's focus/target for those cards in the same way tha nV's focus for the FX5200 and FX5600 lines are the AGP market, but they do have PCI variants that are not their marquee parts.

My colleague is ready to fly to canada for a global lauch event of ATI,the date is April 13(northAmerican time, not sure the accurate time),so its up to u to say it's same or not?

Yeah, maybe they are not at the same hour, the same minute, the same second.

Do you remember nvidia's "Are You Ready?" flash on it's website from before NV30's launch?

Damnit Baron, you beat me!
