Well, i remember this was the one PS5 game shown i really wanted to play.

Yea if they want to compete with Nintendo, they will have to.

hopefully they will be inspired to be the old Nintendo, not the current Nintendo. The current Nintendo already disregards lots of Switch's unique features (HD vibrator, touch screen) except gyro.

Competing with Mario hasn't been a concern to console makers since the 90s.
I'm glad they're investing in the team and franchise, but I'm pretty sure Sony would have been just fine without Astrobot.
