FYI Tommti has a tool for oversampling on ATI. Haven't tried it on Rage (don't own it). Basically you get rect grid SSAA from this.

I can't wait for the current consoles to go away. This technology could really lead to totally awesome visuals. But the low poly counts and texture resolution limits gotta go. We also need to get people happy with 50+ GB games.

It's unnerving to know that there are vastly higher quality assets over at id but that we can't have them for various reasons.
 
It's messed up how frikkin' good a LEGO game looks.

They used a new engine for this one, didn't they? A lot of new effects there I don't remember seeing on the original games (self-shadowing, HDR lighting, etc).
