Animating cloth (skirt in this case) really hard?

As I recal nvidia licenced their PhysX software to devs for physics acceleration on the GPU. But considering it's quite weak I don't see the point if they just do physics straight off on the ppe's.

As for weaker consoles to make realtime good-looking dynamic cloth is hard because (especially for lifelike looking cloth with lots of polys) of the amount of physics calculations.
