The funniest and most frustrating thing is that "i've heard" they cancelled it to accommodate Charmed.
I mean, they chose fucking Charmed over Angel. It's just..... it's like...... choosing Jerry Springer over Lord of the Rings....

Tell me about it... That's what a very informed friend of mine told me. If it is true, then i'm gobsmacked. Charmed might be "cool-ish" but it just pales in comparison to both Buffy or Angel... Everything about Charmed screams "CHEAP", whereas direction, actor performances, dialogues and storylines of the Buffy/Angel series are on a league of their own, compared to most other series...

Anyway, I think Holly Marie Combs is the reason to watch that show. Just too darn cute for her own good, she reminds me of my first real crush. Sigh, you never do forget do you?

Yet the show is poor in comparison of Angel.

What do the two shows have to do with each other :? Why would Angel be canned to "accomodate" Charmed?

It's not like Buffy (which went to UPN because they were offering a lot of money); WB have canned Angel, and the thing is now over unless they migrate to another network.
All while Charmed is still on...
According to some website around here, both Joss Whedon and WB are shopping around for other networks to take on the Angel series.
I'm sure there are quite a few networks willing to take on one of the most successfull shows around...
Oh and apparently Joss has asked (AGAIN) SMG to appear on Angel. That superbitch, how can she turn her back to the man who made her who she is now?

YAY i'm going to see Alyson Hannigan (Willow in Buffy) and Luke Perry at the theater next month. For those who don't know, there's a play called When Harry met Sally (adaptation of the film) here in the Westend and i'm going to see them next month!! in row B, which is like 5 meters away from them!!!!!!!!

Yeah this is a real disgrace. While I always prefered Buffy to Angel its still one of my favouite shows. I mean if nothing else is keeps me in the buffyverse
This actually reminds me a bit of when I started watching a show called "Opposite Sex" years and years ago. I absolutely loved that show at the time. Allison Mack was just the cutest thing I'd ever seen and the idea behind the program was brilliant IMO, it had loads and loads of possibilities. Then, after only 6 episodes I heard that fox had cancelled it. I was completely gutted!
I have to say, while U.S channels have produced a lot of great shows, I absolutely despise how fickle they are. To cancel a good show after 6 episodes simply because its ratings aren't at a certain level is an absolute fucking disgrace! They seem to have no pride in what they show.. its all just 100% about the ratings.
Ah well at least I can look forward to the rest of the third series of 24. That show is simply the most addictive thing I've seen in my life!
