Anandtech: 3DMark worst benchmark ever seen

The "official" extreme editions do not have as high clocked Core or Memory as the supposed extreme edition used in these benchmarks or others. Most sites seem to crank the ultra as far as it will go and call it an "extreme edition" instead of an overclocking test.

Further who knows how many actual "extreme editions" there will be. There is already yield issues on the 400mhz models. To bench a supposed "extreme edition" against a non overclocked XT is benchmark result tampering. Its also intentionally misleading. For what reason i have no idea.

As for the 3dmark comments. It just shows you how powerfull Nvidias deceptive PR still is. It holds swey, infuence, sows seends of doubt, mistrust etc.. Accross the entire internet and there is no telling when and where those seeds take root.

There is no valid technical reason to have views like this about 3dmark. Its nearly all based on total Lies spewed out by Nvidia. I think [H]'s reasoning for not using the benchmark is acceptable becuase they backed it up by changing their entire benchmarking process.

You cant talk crap about 3dmark and in then use Nvidias "special" demos and "recomended demos" and "special drivers" and have even a shred of credability. I am not calling them Biased. Its mostly lacking logic and common sense.

I don't expect next 3DMark favor anyone on purpose. based on information I have heard, nVidia didn't like the 2001 either and they also said it to Futuremark / MadOnion.

(I do not have knowledge which part they didn't like but I suspect that nVidia didn't like seeing original Radeon as close as it was against the GF2GTS and surpassing their best seller GF2MX. After all, Radeon was originally designed to compete against GF256, but it delayed so much that nVidia got already GF2GTS out.)

and again, Anandtech likes what ever nVidia likes. He is just a hand puppet nowadays. Though nVidia is back on beta program, I really can't see nVidia hyping 3DMark 03 nor upcoming version.

EDIT: wrong preposition ;)
At some point people need to understand the fact that Nvidia are megalomaniacs and THEY want total cotrol over content and methodology going into 3dmark. This kind of attitude is reflected accross all facets of their business practices. They bitch, cry, and especially spread lies when they dont get their way. It's that simple.

WTH are you rolling, huh?

I don't see ANY Ultra Extreme, rolling man and I also can't imagine it'd be for Germany only.

Aha... June 4th, 2004 as shipping date? did you see the product page, rolling man? It's July 8th and there's no product listed as Ultra Extreme.

http://www.bfgtech.com/6800U.html ( BFG GeForceâ„¢ 6800 Ultra OCâ„¢ GPU with Water Block )

Still no Ultra Extreme, what a surprise...

Next time look a bit more ok?

Excuse me?
Next time try to interpret a bit first, instead of accidentally typing BS like above, OK?

Well only one is called a ultra extream..... guess you have to make the assumption that they are all UEs... but we know what assuming does. And NONE are for sale. Heck the evga UE isnt even offerd on there own site.....256-A8-N345-AX is but not the 256-A8-N346-AX, but this is realy to be expected. NVDA said they would not have UE chips , but vendors could use the name for handpicked / OC boards. Will there ever be many for sale at all?

The handpicked 6800U is

up from 400 to 430 but not making the 450 of the Extreme.

For T2K

http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=301021&cks=PRL

One Gainward Extreme at 450Mhz.

And the shipping date is getting closer not further away, it used to be 3rd August.

You need to do some more homework before posting.

You need to READ before posting - still no sign of it on Gainward's website.

Besides this nobody was talking about any shipping date.

FYI: Feel free to ASK first if you can't get what this chat is about...

No surprise - as we said, there's still no product from NV called "Extreme"...

Your ignorance on this matter amuses me.

No T2K repost yet ?

Maybe he is still trying to find a web site outside of the USA and so is too busy to admit defeat ?

Not really: you are just way too simple for any debate or rebuttal, my little friend - you obviously couldn't even understand my post, so I'm not gonna waste my time with you, period.
