Aaron Greenberg promoted to Xbox VP of Games Marketing

Who did he replace, and who will replace him in his old role?

From the article

It seems he's recently been promoted - with his LinkedIn profile revealing how he's gone from Xbox Games Marketing General Manager to Xbox Games Marketing Vice President. He was in the general manager role for 8 years and 4 months, and has started in his new role this month.

My assumption is that this is part of the reorg and Activision / Bethesda internal marketing heads will report up to him

I'm not sure if he replaced anyone or not. Prior to his promotion I don't think they had a VP of Games Marketing. He'll still be reporting to Chris Capossela who is the Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft.

I'm guessing the promotion is to indicate his increased importance in the company's organization due to the massive increase in the size of Microsoft's gaming division. Under him will likely be marketing heads for Activision-Blizzard, Bethesda, and one for the rest of the MS gaming studios (basically what he was prior to all the acquisitions).

Is he the one in the Xbox documentary? The one that's been with xbox since Xbox 1? And didn't really understand Xbox as he's more about money/business?
