There once was a video card company called 3Dfx. They made great 3d video cards. Along came another company called Nvidia. There were not the kings of 3d but they were working hard. One day, 3Dfx revealed to the world their brand new creation: a large, power hungry video card. Not long after, the other company revealed their new baby: a tiny, frugal video card as potent as 3Dfx's. Before long everyone was accusing the first company of creating a large monster and promptly jumped on the smaller card's maker's band wagon. Eventualy, the first company lost the hardware race and the second company decided to buy them and rule the world of home computer 3d graphics.

There once was a video card company called Nvidia. They made great 3d video cards. Along came another company called ATI. They were not the kings of 3d but they were working hard. One day, Nvidia revealed to the world their brand new creation: a large, power hungry video card. Not long after, the other company revealed their new baby: a tiny, frugal video card as potent as Nvidia's. Before long everyone was accusing the first company of creating a large monster and promptly jumped on the smaller card's maker band wagon...

Is it just me or some folks just never learn?

Found this on the EQ2 forums, it made me laugh. Figured it belongs here because it's more of a joke thing, but, you know... it certainly has a bit of truth to it.
