Star Wars Outlaws [XBSX|S, PC, PS5]

I dont like the style they went with, but aside from personal taste she looks weird. She looks like something done by someone learning face modelling.
Eyes look insect like, other features look like she´s been to the plastic surgeon too many times. I´m sure they´ve got a bunch of very skilled modellers at Massive, so my guess is its overdesigned by too many people who have a say, but lack the skills needed.

That thumbnail is very deceptive.
Not surprising for youtube, I know...
You should judge two sculptures by observing the same angle.
I find her features weird to the point of being borderline anatomically incorrect, especially the way her cheekbones protrude to the sides of her nose...
I think that this, under certain angles, makes her eye placement (in relation to her skull) look off...

But that thumbnail is telling a different story.
The changes from the "older model" are few and subtle, perhaps towards a worse result, but not as stark as that picture makes them out to be.

The game is much better than expected. I didn't like the beginning but it improves after that. The mechanics are mostly well-developed and you experience quite a lot per unit of time. The world is lovingly crafted. Sometimes there's a bit of a Mass Effect vibe.

What surprises me is that the firefights aren't that good in Outlaws. The Division 2 is the best shooter with the best AI I know. In The Division 1 and 2 there were even very rare enemy types where you thought it might be another online player behind it. I've never had a feeling like this in other games. In Outlaws the enemies are quite simplistic and the firefights are mediocre.

While plot and dialogues are completely irrelevant in Avatar Outlaws is no worse than other games that are rated 80+%..
Outlaws is actually on a par with the Star Wars movies which aren't all that good either. In general I find it odd how bad video games are in in this respect. Even TLoU which is celebrated in the gaming industry is actually primitive and dull with a message where only violence is the solution. Compared to Cyberpunk 2077 almost everything in the AAA game space is badly written and narrated.
