1. I said "Sony's MLAA" because their version goes beyond the original paper written by Intel. Read the "making of God of War III" article from Eurogamer. And, to think the initial port over was 120ms. I guess making use of the Cell architecture couldn't have helped to reduce that time to 20ms with additions, right? ;) That's the version I'm talking about.

4. I wonder why? It's universally applicable. ;)

I believe that's without the "beyond" part of Sony's MLAA implementation being in effect.

EDIT: I wanted to add some more information about Sony's MLAA implementation.

Why are you so hung up on MLAA?
Not only can the 360 use MLAA http://www.iryoku.com/mlaa/,but, AMD has implemented it for it's PC GPUs, MLAA has problems like shimmering (that FXAA does a better job at) and SMAA is regarded as better.

I've been reading a bit... I have no idea how I missed the 2008 discussion in the prediction thread, I was sure they planned the Cell2 (4-32) to have the memory access that devs wanted. It's not the case, it looks like it's not even possible, and the Cell was a dead end from the start. I still think the Cell was good enough for the PS3, and served it's purpose, although imperfectly. It's also clear that the latest GPUs have made the SPEs completely obsolete, and that the SPEs were useful only to do stuff that modern GPU can do now anyway. I'm also beginning to understand why the narrow vector processing is a problem. This is what I learned today.

Lucid_Dreamer, what have you learned today?

@Lucid_Dreamer
Thanks for totally validating my Kool Aid assertion! You really have a taste for that shit, LOL!

Frankly I think anyone who can't make Uncharted work with the same output on a C64 is a moron and just doesn't relish a good challenge. Bunch of whiners if you ask me.

But anyways, thanks function for making this thread lols again instead of just sad :)
