IE8 strikes again

Blasphemer!
I can't express in words how much I love it! Once I got used to it (hour maybe) I loved it.

What is the magic URL bar? Is that the default URL bar that comes with Firefox? If so I can say I like it. If I haven't used it I would love to check it out.

I never knew B3D'ers are such porn fiends, but I guess it makes sense.

Just the address bar. It just behaves differently- it acts a bit like a search bar or something. To pull up beyond3d for example I could just type beyond, or the title of a thread.

to me, because of an UI that doesn't blend with the rest of the OS (firefox UI looks "normal" both in gnome and windows whereas opera looks "skinned"), and laziness (learning new keyboard hotkeys whereas netscape/IE/mozilla are mostly the same)

Opera is not known enough perhaps. I think I would use it on a netbook.

Opera is just... ugh. That's about all I can say about it. All this functionality people claim is often inferior to stand alone applications people already have, or so sloppy in use (for instance the included email functionality) that I much rather just continue to use gmail and the simple gmail notifier in Firefox. Additionally, Opera is greatly limited by its extremely poor addon support. Widgets? Seriously, not even close to being useful and the other options.. another ugh.

Firefox does everything you need because it can. It is easily expandable and has great community support. Those features far out weigh the limited immediate functionality benefits in Opera.
