Not yet, we're awaiting the DX10/Vista driver from nvidia. Its expected mid December although even then you will need a copy of Vista to run the demo's!
Are you guys talking about Adrianne and the "box full of smoke" demos? These are DX9 demos, not Dx10. I have already seen them running on XP in realtime on Nvidia's 8800 showcase tour.
Pardon my ignorance, but couldn't Nvidia produce a Windows XP demo using OpenGL, where it's already exposed much of the equivalent "Direct3D 10" functionality through extensions?

Well, at least theoretical it would be possible for nvidia to support “Direct3D 10†on Windows XP like they have support OpenGL on Windows 9x. But there could some legal problems in doing this. . Additional it would be a big piece of work.
