XB360 price drop for Japan

This isn't really true. If you look at both of these games, and the sales/week that followed their release they certainly did have an impact, especially Blue Dragon.
By significant, I mean sustained improvements. If all you manage is a spike in sales, it doesn't amount to much in the long run. In fact I think you've acknowledged as much in the PS3 price drop discussions! ;) If each 'Japanese' titles nets MS an extra 1000 a week sustained, it's not going to win them the market or a significant share. Likewise spikes in sales aren't going to accumulate into significant numbers unless there are lots of them. BD and TB haven't fired up the market, so I don't see what more MS can do in that respect, short of buying SE and making FF and DQ XB360 exclusive!

And Blue Dragon caused a 100% increase in sustained sales.

All I'm saying is, characterizing BD as having 'no impact' is quite untrue. 360 sales are now twice what they were last year. And this trend began immediately after the spike from BD subsided.

To me it shows that great software can begin to move the console, and create sustained increases in sales. So now we'll have to see what happens when a few more of these big name titles are released.
