No, sorry. I'm just being silly and sharing one of the more lame (and ridiculed) Fark responses I've ever seen for the fun of it. For some reason it seemed fitting...

The planes look great and the water was pixelshaded but other than that this isnt impressing. I think Namco has spoiled me with ACE4/5 and now im looking forward to The Belkan wars.
Would be nice to have "some" alternative to ACE but the nearest anyone can was with Lethal Skies 2 and that one isnt realesed in Europe..

Can't tell much about the fine details from this tiny video (and I can't be bothered to waste part of my life watching it again, except in 720P rez). This game seems kind of so-so IMO. Some bits look a bit simple (city close-up), some smoke/explosion effects), other stuff looks really nice, such as city at a distance, smoke trails, underpressure condensation above wings etc.

I can't find a pic of the city in armored core 4 seen in the xbox360 trailer but it was far more superior than world air force, which looks like (at least by now) a poor rushed first gen title.

This is from TGS and it was done on 360 beta dev kit. I think that video matches Lock on.

What really gets me about this game was teh amazing lighting on the plans. For most of the video the plans actually look photo-realistic.

Also, the smoke physics where absolutely stunning. When the plan kicks off the thrusters, and is floating through the air, watching the way the smoke drifts in the wind, holy crap that was impressive.

Ground and water were lame, but why focus on the worst parts of the video? There's some really cool stuff here...

Fark is one of the more well-travelled sites on the net. There first (to my knowledge) and most popular "link site"--which basically means they're a repository for weird links, clever titles FOR those links, and with a message board attached to each one so the community can toss around random comments. That comment I posted was originally brought up in this thread, and has since become the poster-child for pointless, haughty commentary, and has been lampooned ever since.

I figured we'd have at least ONE person on here who'd call me on it. Hehe...

I think its coming along nicely. The vid is bland though. Reminds me of my treasure Falcon 4.0 and Falcon does have some nice enviroments. Im sure 360 will bring the love ehwn all is said and done. Well I hope the devs give us abeatiful fight game.

Have you played through the ACE5 campaign? I dont see this video as spectular as the planes in ACE is great also. But if we give a damn about gameplay this game *should* have AA, more vertices better lightning and TEXTURES etz with textures probably most noticable in game. But i doubt this game will touch the "overall" beauty of ACE on the PS2.

A Crimson skies next gen should be insane
Talking about, this trailer i dont find it impressive at all, fs2004 with good add-ons looks as good as this one. A good lightning, HDR must be necessary today to make a flight game look nice. ( see warhawk ps3 ). Crimson skies PC has the same explosions...

Oh come on, whats tiring is this lame strawman defense of acting like everytime there's a negative reaction toward your "console of choice" its somehow predisposed that there's an agenda behind it. That seems to be a running theme on this forum lately. Cant someone just be negative about a way a game looks or plays because thats actually how they may feel the actual product, regardless of the platform its on? Yeah I know, sounds crazy doesnt it. Bringing out the old "you have no idea what you're talking about" is an even lamer cop-out in my book.

Apparently only if you are critical of Xbox or Xbox 360 games.

Don't talk bad about Nintendo though, or the mods will ban you and everyone will call you a troll, and you'll get bad rep. Even if what you say is valid criticism, and you are very respectful of how you say it. The Xbox 360 is fair game, but whatever you do, don't disrupt the Nintendo fanchildren here.

Sadly i heard here i think that the team has split. I *think* MS own the rights or maybe they "just" published it(cant the legal stuff ). Either way would be nice to see it come on PS3 otherwise however unlikely that is.

Btw Warhawk is coming anyway and even as a launch-title maybe(?), would be great and just awesome!
