Woops. I accidentally voted for the Maxtor thinking it was the SATA version (which is a nice one because it supports SATA-II with NCQ na dhas the bonus of a 16MB buffer, which cannot hurt). Seeing that it is this PATA I am not sure this is the best of the bunch. The Seagates are notoriously quiet if that is what you like, but most FDB drives should be silent enough. WDs have served me well so I have no problem recommending those either. I would probably recommend you buy a drive that is "big enough"+ and that you look at the price in terms of $/GB.
