I vote Rez 2, because the sex toy it comes with next time should be SO much better!

Even though I had no interest in FFX-2, though I liked FFX, I have great hopes for FFXII.

It's impossible to narrow it down to ~10~ game franchises, so I don't blame you for having a highly lacking list.
I'd say that.. out of all of the currently active or "mainstream" console franchises.. I'm always looking forward to the next big Mario or Zelda title. Whether Mario 128 is GCN-bound (as it's supposed to be) or N5-bound.. it's definitely up there.
I voted for RE. It was either RE, Halo, GT, or maybe Final Fantasy.. and RE is the one I like the most out of those.

I'd definately would have to give a Metal Gear Solid game a good thought though - probably THE game that got me most hyped up about what we'd see this generation - it was simply breathtaking seeing that first 90MB trailer off IGN... and 4 years later, it's still one of the most amazing achievements this generation, hands-down.
Another iteration of the Gran Turismo series would be amazing too... especially some wet-track with Metal Gear Solid 2 rain and wind effects and perhaps various smaller objects like leaves or newspapers flying sideways over the track... now that would top it all!

Silent Hill. The games have been steadily declining in quality, but I have high hopes that a new generation of consoles can re-invigorate the series. I hope Katamari Damacy makes it to PS3 also.
