Then don't buy a crappy one, I bought a switch for €20. Very solid metal case, 3 full wired RGB scart inputs/switchs ... I did some tests, but I was not able to see any degrading of the RGB signals, no ghost images (prevented by good shielding, I guess). I got a NTSC GC and RGB (modified component cable) is much better than S-Video output, VGA (modified component cable) pro-scan beats them bothrabidrabbit said:I refuse to buy a crappy scart hub that, and I will not change the cable everytime I want to play GC.
I've searched the local electronics and AV shops, and all of them have had the same crappy ones, most of them even have just one RGB enabled scart and the better (at least from the outside) boxes I've found from 'net have been to expensive.ChryZ said:Then don't buy a crappy one, I bought a switch for €20. yeah, can you imagine how it feels when you'd really really like to play the new Zelda, Metroid Prime, Ikaruga etc... and are waiting for F-Zero, FF:Chrystal Cronicles, Twin Snakes, Rogue Leader 3, RE4...
but you know that you won't be able to play them
The GC is even relatively cheap already. Local supermarket sells GC with Zelda for 199 euros.
I wish all those great future GC games would turn out to be rubbish (though they won't ), so I wouldn't have to feel I'm missing something great.
VGA (modified component cable) pro-scan beats them both
I CAN NOT FIND A NON_CRAPPY INEXPENSIVE SCART SWITCH HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!london-boy said:yeah, can you imagine how it feels when you'd really really like to play the new Zelda, Metroid Prime, Ikaruga etc... and are waiting for F-Zero, FF:Chrystal Cronicles, Twin Snakes, Rogue Leader 3, RE4...

WELL if u feel like that, then maybe u should buy a non-crappy SCART hub.... they dont cost THAT much...
VGA (modified component cable) pro-scan beats them both
yeah.... would be nice if they supported pro-scan here in Europe... to Nintendo Europe
> composite is the worse.
Two letters: RF
NOE has nothing to do with it.
Unfortunately not. I got mine from eBay, it was sold by a shop, but I don't have the details anymore. I did a quick search, there still many on sale, here is a picture of it. Anyway a friend of mine bought one at a local shop, re-branded for €30, so I guess it shouldn't be too hard to hunt one down.rabidrabbit said:Do they have internet store?
BTW, the modified component cable RGB for NTSC GC works on PAL GC too. The DAC build into the component cable is much better than the default one build into the GC. That cable is a bit pricey ((€|$)50-60) though, but it boosts the image quality by ~25%.notAFanB said:PAL -- RGB definately
NTSC -- Component followed by S-video.
that will be all
ShinHoshi said:I use a RGB (Scart cable) since I own a PAL GC. As far as I know the PAL GC has RGB but no SVHS support while the NTSC GC supports SVHS but no RGB.
