Just to add some, both are way inferior to laser or pulsed light. Both will remove the hair for 5-10 years, the only not-so-nice thing is the prices.

Seriously though, I get my hair cut once in a while and shave when I remember to. My hair tends to grow at a freakish speed so it just gets annoying to keep on top of it all. And I think I was practically born with a beard. As for other hirsute regions, I leave them to do their own thing. It's cold in the mountains of Wales, I need all the extra insulation I can get!
