Server Engineer:
This position is for a mid to senior software engineer who will focus on network communication, cross-server player interaction, persistence mechanisms, anti-cheating and security measures, server scalability and load balancing, optimization, and implementation of new game features.
The server engineer will work closely with the lead engineer to development and implement the server architecture.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years prior game development experience, with at least one shipped online game
· Expertise in using C/C++
· Experience with distributed systems
· Experience with Client/Server architectures
· Experience with complex intra-server messaging, multithreading, bandwidth optimization
· Understanding of scalability and security issues
· Experience with anti-cheating measures
Desired:
· Shipped at least one MMO.
· Database knowledge
