I'm sorry but this game is just bewtifool.

First one

Second one

Third one

Fourth one

And the Hands on impressions

PS: only the first video is actually very impressive, the others are kinda useless... but still... :D

PS2: And errr... gotta love IGN's commercials....

The real fun of Shadow of the Colossus, though, are the boss battles themselves. I'm sure that gamers who battled Tidal Wave in 2004's Transformers know exactly what I'm talking about here, but if you never played that particular game, just imagine the biggest videogame boss you can remember and multiply it by ten. In fact, I don't think I've seen enemies as huge and intimidating as I have than those found Shadow, both in terms of scale and design.

:D

Are you serious? The textures look aweful, low res, washed out, with not much color either. Lots of repeating texture work too. Also the shimmering is atrocious....

I wasn't talking about technicalities, but you keep posting till you can.

Yeah the game is very beautiful with a very novel and intriguing concept. Made by the people who made Ico, so it shouldn't come as a surprise, though.

If the game is anything like ICO, it will be magical.

I hope my heart never hardens into such a cold, dark lump of coal that I can't appreciate a good game because of texture work. :(

It's a cute long bridge.

This word has no meening to PC-Engine. ;)

If PC-Engine would rule the gaming world than every game would be a technical masterpiece but suffer bad art, too many colors, everything shiny shine metal and reflections everywhere.

The sheer scale itself is amazing.

Yep, the stages and the bosses are going to be HUGE.

We could list a whole lot of "flaws". Low poly character (though the bosses will be very high poly, given the size of them), low res textures, whatever. That wouldn't be the point. Like it wasn't for ICO.

Hm, yes. A gritty, dark and foreboding world is best represented with lots of primary colours...

Of course!! Everytime i read a book i go "Why the hell do they only use black on white!!!". I mean that's just archaic, it's been done for centuries.

There were some videos at Gamespot last week, don't know if they were the same as these or not (although if you mention a long bridge, that was there). There also was a developer interview (it was somebody from SCEA, but it was interesting).

PC-Engine: you have no sensibility, as my fellow artist friends tell me sometimes :p

Amazing sense of scale! I like the ideal of a huge open world, riding around on horseback. Music is subtle, but nice also.

I don't know why, but reminds me of Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn. It has this haunting beauty to it.

LOL!

Yah, this does look incredible. Novel concept, and the aesthetics are ever more impressive than ICO's. That being my pick for Game of Generation, I'm hyped watching these videos.

It is strange that the game world has only bosses, and puzzles. I think that's marvelous, modern games have so badly dropped the ball when it comes to making worthwhile boss fights.

No surprises here, it looks magnificent.

After ICO, this is the only project that team has worked on, correct?

If this is the case, with all this development time the game wont dissapoint.

Yes, the ICO team have been working on this game, and only on this one, ever since ICO was released.

It's good to see that some people, though very few, are not driven by profit. Understandably, Sony is behind them, they're gonna get their money anyway, whatever happens. I'm quite sure that this game will be much more commercially successful than Ico though.
