Van Helsing

The mummy flicks were entertaining and much better paced than this crap. Heck they are even rewatchable... Man VH is one of the worst films ever...

Why did vampires fail to succeed in the evolutionary contest between them and man?... Because of the uncontrollable urge for them to ceasessly toy with their dangerous prey in the most precarious situations... If this thing is a hit it should definitely be spoofed in the next scary movie and or Austin Powers flick.

It deserves it. Tho 5 out of 5 stars for the sexy vampettes...

I saw the movie 2 days ago and i have to admit .. the trailer is far better than the movie. The trailer is breathtaking and the movie is ... nearly crappy. In 4-5 years this movie will play on TV and ppls will laugh at it.

The Mummies were both crap, that's why I didn't expect much from van Helsing either.

The trailer did almost fool me to go and watch it though, and I like werevolves, vampires and such... maybe I'll wait for the rental DVD.

Has eyone seen Troy yet? (I'm really not a fan of Brad Pitt, so the movie has to be very very good for me to go see it). What other supposed summer action hits are coming? (I haven't much followed the movie industry since the LOTR's  )

The first Mummy was good! Not to be taken seriously, but at the time it was pretty cool! The second was crappy but still watchable...

Troy is LOTR set in a different space and time dimension.

Are you talking about The Mummy starring Brendan Fraser?

I guess... It was fantastic when it came out, lots of fun, not sure what i'd think of it nowadays though...

Yep, they're the ones laughing the loudest. All the way to the bank... ;)

I thought the first Mummy was a fun too. That's really all it was meant to do. Didn't see the second one yet. I'm gonna the both DVDs though.

Funny thing is I've been to Brendan's home many times and I've actually met him one of those times. I wasn't stalking him, as was required to go there, it's my job.

The second one is good on the special effects (as usual) but it has very little of the first one's feeling. They made it, don't know... Lame... Whereas the first was kinda innovative... To be honest i'm speaking by memory, cause i haven't seen any of those 2 movies in years...

Just come out and say that you're a LARPer. ;)

I was tempted to see VH until I saw the "making of" TV show - If it looks that crappy during the half hour free advert "making of" trailer then I figured the real movie must mega-suck...

Damn u ppl r hard 2 plz.

I just saw this movie 2 days ago and I thought it was decent.

while watching, there was no time in the movie that I thought it sucked... so my vote is decent movie.

It's by no means breath taking but it ain't bad.

Well, some people here seem to have come out of the latest Cannes Film Festival critics committee... And at the same time, many people actually LIKED Matrix reloaded and revolution in context with the first movie. I "liked" them so to speak as "general action movies" where u fastforward to the next action scene, but as a trilogy context... Damn the 2 sequels were bad...
