Urgent! questions about PS2 headphone

My sister's office Colleague is in Minneapolis, and he is coming back later in the week. I want to get a PS2 headphone from him. Few questions:

1. Does an ordinary USB headphone work with PS2?
2. Are there 3rd party PS2 headphones available? If yes, which one to get? Bec'se original PS2 headphones cost more.
3. Where to get them in Minneapolis?

Never even heard of PS2 headphones -- but your best bet is calling a gamestop/eb type store and checking around.

i know for a fact that any logitech usb headsets work with ps2, and the logitech ps2 headsets work wih pc's. there are 3rd party ps2 headsets, and i assume they work out of the box on a pc but i haven't checked myself. i would also suspect that pretty much any usb headset would also function with a ps2 as long as it's plug and play.

as far as costs go, the ps2 branded headsets are usualy cheaper than the PC ones because they are all (at least the official logitech and all of the 3rd parties i've seen) mono. most pc USB headsets are stereo.
