Sucks?Man thats an understatement. That are are probably like the worst graphics someone can expect from next gen.
Hell, even God of War might be better looking than this.

That tennis game for XB360 shown last E3 looked worse than this IMO.

Better than the first shots suggested, but still rather uncompelling.

Super super clean, the texturing too, I'll give it that, though.

Lets see how clean it would have been if they tried to add more detail

So much hate and cries of hypocrisy... Sad Really.

I like pretty much everything except the characters.... They just dont seem to "fit" everything else.... I guess it is kind expected when everything so far has to be completely cartoony or "Realisitc" these days.

Oddly enough, it reverted back to 1080p in the press release.

The textures dont really look noticeable better than Enclave.. A first gen Xbox title.. Granted Enclave is in top 10 in texture quality on the Xbox platform but still...

In fairness, there is a difference in general quality there, but Enclave does have very good texturing (though the filtering shows pretty defined drops in quality close enough to the camera). Unfortunately, though, that, and more particularly good filtering, aren't things we can take for granted yet with next-gen games.

I don't expect much from this game...but for some reason I feel like there is something we're missing because we're not seeing the gameplay in motion. I will reserve judgement until I see the game in a more complete state and in motion.

As for now by the looks of those screenshots...the game smells of utter shit.

In the end, I feel this game will be overshadowed by Heavenly Sword and be forgotten about in an instant.

I just wanna see some of the "spot effects" mentioned by 1up - for example, the havok-powered water. Things like that may give it slightly more convincing touches of next-gen.

We're barely even seeing monsters! It' the lack of any critters or action or anything we could relate to being a game that doesn't involve wandering around a vast and empty expanse that makes this game so bad. (and the duff lighting and weak shadows...)

BGDA clones have quite a healthy niche. HS I think is in a different Genre, especially if UL has 2/3 player coop. That's where these games are really popular. Most fans of BGDA and CON it seems play with spouses/partners and kids.

Yeah I know they are different genres...but they both share common hack'n'slash features. I'm sure HS will be alot more like Devil May Cry and this crap more like CoN...but nevertheless...

For what it's worth, the next SnowBlind Studios game isn't a dungeon crawler but 'Justice League: Heroes'. That's one less competitor in the genre for UL, and there aren't that many people producing these sorts of games! UL will get the sales on being the only option. However, SB have just started work on a next-gen title that should please those wanting a more traditional dungeon crawler it seems. In another 2 years there should be at least one rival to UL!

Given the disapointment of UL and the lack of a new Snowblind hack & slash in the near future, I will turn to the PC...for those interested, there are several promising games on the horizon:

    Mage Knight: Apocalypse

    Titan Quest
    http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/titanquest/

    Hellgate: London

Though the furthest out, Hellgate: London is probably the most anticipated for me because of its development pedigre.

That interview makes a difference. I'm interested in this game now.

It will be nice to see the realistic water physics that they will have. Also, sounds like a huge game world.

Dungeon Siege is coming to PSP too. Shame there isn't as much in this genre, especially considering every third game produced is a FPS! A lot of genres are fairly marginalized.

Yes I'm very excited by this...I think it's one of the best genres for a portable like the PSP! Some time ago there were rumors of a possible Diablo II port to the PSP -- that would be fantastic.

Website says internet co-op play, so that would be nice.
