There's a new trick coming from Mozilla called Ubiquity (currently in Alpha). It's kind of like web mashup/app blending in your browser. Check the video for a better explanation.

The version he was working on before wasn't tied to a web-browser. Maybe web-browsers will be a good place to start though.

That looked kind of neat, but why cant we put maps in right now? Printscreen, ctrl+v seemed easy enough to me.
