Surprise surprise, they're using UE3... And for a new Turok not to suck completely it will take a whole lot.

Loved the first one (and the main reason for buying a 3Dfx card back in the Stone Age), but i'm not sure why they keep trying. After the first one, every single sequel was terrible, and there are a lot of them! You either make a good sequel or you just don't do it!!

I use to play the first Turok on the N64 with my friends (Good times). I honestly thought (the N64 version) of the first Turok was almost on par with Goldeneye. It was fun, had great weapons and the levels were cool. But as you L-B already pointed out, the sequels were...not good.

I'm happy a stab is being made at the franchise again and hopefully Buena Vista can succeed where Acclaim failed when making the sequels.

I'm not keeping my expectations too high...

But yeah, Turok on N64 was the same as the 3Dfx version (only i was playing it at higher res! and with mouse+keyboard) and it was fantastic! Really really enjoyed it beginning to end. The big dino's really wowed me, and everything was so smooth, graphics, framerate, everything! :D

Well, i expect these people will use the UE3 to make all dino's look like they're wet, not because they're actually wet, but because it just gives them that Jurassic Park look.

Ok ok i'm being pessimistic again.

thats also what i'm looking for! Next Gen Dinosaurs! with 3dsurround sound .
loved the first one, (played on pc , and was happy i had a voodoo card to go with it)

Why can't they let this game die, after Turok 2 it has been all down hill for the series and Turok 2 was the only good game in the series, because Turok 1 was garbage.

I liked Rage Wars for the multiplayer. Something about the cerebral bore makes me happy. Otherwise, I'm not a real fan of this series. PEACE.

feel exactly the same.Had great fun with the first one on 3dfx (incredible weapon fx at the time).

Turok1 was a killer app for the n64. The pc version with a voodoo1 always made me motion sick for some reason. I remember the ill feeling more than the game actually.
I actually thought Turok1 had much better gfx than any of the sequels on the n64. I remember being really really disapointed with everything about turok2. South Park was a million times better and used the same engine.

I wouldnt be disappointed with say a remake of the first Turok updating the graphics, add to the plot (much like a directors cut) add some free roaming areas and a $30 price tag might be a good thing. (Never happen but would be nice) Just the thought of redoing Turok with UE3 engine makes me smile. Lets hope they go back to the franchise roots and do it right.

Turok 1 was good, Turok 2 was great, but indeed everything after that was garbage composed of missed opportunities. I've always thought that the series had a lot of potential, though, so as long as it is still alive there is a chance it will be done right once again. And lets look on the bright side; it can't get much worse than the last few.

The last one was so bad that it's one of only 2 games I rented and then returned on the same day.

Well, not "made" yet, but they WANT TO. Now that's just mean, only a sadist would do that.
