Thing is she could very well have a fully working female reproductive system + still have enough male attributes to cause unfair advantage against regular women, which I believe is the case here.

Well, if this would be enough to make a case, you might as well close down the womens' competitions for shot put, discus and hammer throw...

What male attributes would that be ?

What male attributes would that be ?

Well males have bigger lungs, more blood and more red cells carrying oxygen per ml of blood, larger muscle mass and numerous other advantages over woman as far as physical competition goes. The thing is that facial hair, male type skeleton with accompanied muscle mass and other male attributes don't just magically appear on a woman. Genetics (disorder), internal and/or external phormones are what makes them happen. Men and Women have different phormones, which makes us what we are. The internet is full of info on these matters.

I'm sure there are plenty of other pages that would touch this issue more accurately, but I don't want to spend all day on this :)

Considering how delegate this matter is and the possible ramifications, if she is cleared to the IAAF, you guys think they would have proceeded with these tests, if the suspicions weren't extremely high. They didn't just randomly chose one female contestant for the tests because they were bored and had nothing better to do. I'm sure they have already had many expert opinions on the matter and have come to the conclusion that these tests must be made, and they wouldn't make that conclusion if the evidence already wasn't overwhelming, of course nobody will ever say that out loud.

Wouldn't it be simpler to abandon to idea of men and women competing independently? [Maybe this is an issue for RPSC rather than The Fluffy Channel, but...] Surely in this day and age this sort of segregation is rather anachronistic, and discriminates against the gender-ambivalent?

You have a completely screwed up interpretation of female sports.

First of all, that there is so much variance in male genetics and development when it comes to athletic traits should be enough proof for you that you'll see the same with females. Even these "manly" females don't perform anywhere near the best men, so I don't know what you're trying to prove.

Secondly, there's a reason that we pay more attention and respect to hot female athletes than manly looking ones. If females sports were about equality then we'd see them competing in the same class. The real reason we have female sports is the same reason we have other limited participation sports like U18, senior tour, special olympics, etc. A 15-year old that's top 5 in U18 competition is lauded more than an 18-year old that bettered him. We marvel at their achievements despite their youth, and the younger they are the more impressive a result becomes; similarly, we marvel at female athletes despite their handicap of feminity, and the hotter they are the more impressive.

Categorized sports are not about being the best human on the planet. They're about overcoming natural handicaps. As much as you'd like to think that these are the same for all participants, they simply aren't. The degree to which a woman's athletic traits are inhibited by a pair of X chromosomes differs like height and breast size and any number of analog human characteristics.

I know little bit about what sort of physiques natural women can achieve and that Fatima is not a natural athlete. 100 % guaranteed.

If their genetics is a mix between male and female, then yes they don't perform nearly as well as man, but still have an unfair advantage in the women competition.

This is totally irrelevant to this discussion.

I only care about the truth, not so much what a person who doesn't have clue feels about me. We know, well at least I know what the excessive use of human growth hormone does to a woman (and how Fatima looked), we know it (HGH) was undetectable at the time (no risk of getting caught), we know the level of competition (the best in the world at that sex), the rewards of winning (money and fame) and the competitive nature of world class athletes (The amount of work and sacrifices they are willing to do in order to achieve the top). You put all these together, and you have the nerve of calling me stupid, even if you think it's not guaranteed you should at the very least recognize the possibility of me being right, but no I look stupid for connecting those dots.

The thing is anyone who knows about steroids and performance enhancing drugs can immediately tell you the truth about Fatima, you obviously aren't among those people. You shouldn't call other people stupid, when you don't know enough about the subject. You think I'm the only one who thinks she was on juice... Go ask anybody who has solid information about these substances and you'll soon find out that I'm not the only one.

Moving on...
Our country was unable to get any medals again... our best hope was in the Javelin Throw, but our best guy was quite sick having high fever and ear infection and the others just performed badly. Usain Bolt's performance was something that I'll surely remember for a long time.

Ah, but that is all your assumption and not the truth as you state. You assume Caster is male(due to her voice and build). You assume she does drugs(even though she most probably been tested for a large range of drugs like every other athlete). You assume she has an unfair advantage. Hence the bullshit.

Interesting read this.

No I assume she is an intersex by birth.

Nope haven't said anything like that.

You assume she has an unfair advantage.

this I did say. I believe she is an intersex by birth. I wouldn't classify her as man, but I believe there is enough male in her to give her an unfair advantage in women sports and thus I believe that after the test results she will not be allowed to continue to compete in the women event.

My first post with smilies that said they should measure his dick was out of line, but that was light hearted attempt at dark humour, that was before I realized the amount of uproar it'll cause.

3 times the "normal" testosterone level of a female.

No breasts.

Manly frame.

Deep "man like" voice.

Facial hair.

I see three possible outcomes from this.

1: She is really a female and her coach has been feeding her "juice" for years without her knowledge and never enough to be banned for. (Not 100% sure, but I expect taking testosterone while your body is growing and changing is not likely to result in a perfectly formed female)

2: She is intersex.

3: She is a man and it's all a big con.

(Ordered in the manner I feel is most likely)

Yep, #1 is very likely, especially with young athletes. You coach/trainer says to drink something, take a supplement or whatever. If you're young, you won't question their "expertise."

Her school teacher tought she was a boy up until she was 11, which with other such evidence suggest that her condition is not from steroids, but is caused by some genetic distortion.

Only at the rumour stage, but I think we all saw this coming.

Thing is she wouldn't have gone her entire life without someone knowing she had a set of testes so this is going to reflect poorly on the South African Athletics body. I think they have tried to pull a fast one and are making noise now so the IAAF are too afraid of taking action.

She will never be allowed to run again that is for sure.
