Too Human

I've found 2 secret missions on Ice Forest. Beat the first one but my co-op buddy died in the 2nd one. Is that from the 2nd one?

Not 100% sure, but I think there are more than two, so maybe the third? You just need to ensure you keep an eye out for the walls that are destroyable.

Well I finally started playing TH. I'm about level 15, mostly through co-op. I've ran into a few glitches, one was falling through the world over and over on level 1-2, we had to start over and get past it. My buddy also died and never ressed, his dead body slid around the screen, he had to quit and come back in.

In general I was having fun at first, but now I'm getting numb killing the same two (?) mobs in different forms over and over. I spend half my play time in menu screens trying to figure out gear, skills or trades and exiting the menu is painfully slow. The camera is awful too. I'm hoping the later levels have some variety in scenery, the metallic caves are getting old, I'm also hoping to see more types of enemies.

In a way it feels like that Marvel Alliance game, you end up doing the same few moves over and over and forget why you are playing, it just gets tiring. A 7/10 seems about right so far. Why did this game take so many years to make?

BTW I'm a Commado and my buddy is a Defender.

lol! That was my thought also. I found the game fun mainly due to the loot lure and I enjoyed the Nordic mythology aspects of it. However the gameplay is exactly the same from start to finish in just different set pieces. I didn't expect Ninja Gaiden like combat or anything but a bit more depth in the moves would have been nice. Along with the enemies. You'd think a game like this would take no more than 2 years from start to finish....

So I'm like level 24 now, is SP better than co-op? We played all last night, replying a level I thought we passed (circle thing drops down a bit every time you destroy some generator things in the ice level). The combat is getting damn near monotonous, it's the same now as it was in level 1. The enemies are the same, the environments are the same. Is something going to change later?

I talked my friend into spending $40 on TH and now I want to tell him I don't want to play it anymore, but then I will feel guilty.

This game started as a 7, but it's quickly becoming a 5/10, even co-op can't save it.

Someone convince me my time is going to well spent.

You'll get the story in SP which is pretty cool actually. Not amazing but pretty good, I'd say.

It'll be the same combat. You'll see a diff enemies later but the AI will be the same as any other enemies you've faced. I found the skill tree and loot drop a nice lure but even that got old as the loot system is horribly broken. You only start getting Epic weapons/armor once you hit 50 and even then there's no consistancy. I played for a while once I hit 50 (got sucked into NEED EPIC LOOT! mentality) and never got one damn piece. As was the case with many others I played with. So I traded the game in. To be fair, it cost my about $5 to play the game as I bought it used with 30% off at GS and traded it back in with 30% towards a pre order and thus by that metic, it was worth it. $40 or above. No. Go trade it in for Fable 2.

Thanks for the advice and info. I'm not sure it has a good trade in value though. Bummer the game does not evolve as you advance.

I did get Haze today too ;)

But I got it pretty much free.
