Today is a very very sad day

Today is perhaps the darkest day of my life . My sister came home from london and since i missed her 21st birthday we decided to have a day of bonding . Now our fav game in the world is sea battle from the intellevision . This system was my fathers , he bought it a few months before I was born.

Well we started playing and (through a coin toss) I got the upper base . This base as you all know is the best base in the game as you can go behind it and its such a narrow passage that you can load that passage up with mines and almost never loose the game .

Well half way through smoke came out of the system and it is now officaly dead

This hurts alot as its my oldest console that wasn't bought second hand and well i love the damn thing . Its also my second non sony system to die on me (the first being the genisis that i dropped down stairs twice on acident )


So my question is does anyone know where i can legaly get roms of these games to play on my ds or on my pc ? I own all the cars (49 games )

I don't think you can legaly obtain thoses ROMs. Let alone play them on DS.

You can google a site that propose thoses ROMs, though.

yea i have to check. I have a ton of my nes , master system , super ness games on a cart that i play on my ds . So i think i can do it with tehse two .

At least it went down in the line of duty! Think of all the retro consoles that get stored away till they get thrown out, or collected by people that aren't even interested in the games...

They have some free games to download(this is legit). You can also buy the rights to download more games.

I still have my INTV and about 15-20 games. Works great.

PS, there are 125 official Intellivision games, not 49.

i was just going to link to intellivision lives. they even released it for consoles (ps2, XB and GC), but i would kill for a DS version with propper touch screen suport. b17 bomber is still my favorite "flight sim", if you can call it that. simply brilliant.

yeah, i have the voice box. although i will admit i didn't when i was a kid. in fact, i didn't even know it existed untill i owned a nes, and ironicly picked it up later that year at a salvation army or goodwill for $2. i don't think they knew what they had, it was in a pile of toys.

Jvd, there is still hope. If it blew smoke, sounds like the internal power supply could be faulty, do you know any electronic repair shops that could look at it? I'd be more than happy to look at it for you, however it would mean sending it to Sydney, Australia.

I opened it up , all the soder points where one of the chips are , are black and it smells only in that spot

He has spares of every console he said haha . We have a nes with a power pad brand new in the atic . He took me up there . IT was like a wet dream come true .

He told me when my oldest sister was young she broke both the intellivison and the atari 2600 ( i belive) and since then he would allways pick up another system when they were at bargin prices . He has two of everything except the super nintendo and has them up till the nintendo 64 .
