Today night at 9 pm (5 hrs later) Star Movies is showing The Ring. How does it compare to Original Ringu?? Is it an exact remake? Or are there any differences?? Is it as good as the original?

It takes out all of the hokey (in my opinion) telepathic elements of Ringu and replaces them with supernatural ones.

The young girl in The Ring is clearly evil where as in Ringu this is not the case.

I found The Ring to be more frightening then Ringu.

I was never really scared while watching the ring, but it was very 'freaky'. Was quite disturbing watching it in the dark in bed with headphones on.
