The Order: 1886

You didn't even see the gif I qouted ! Ha !

And even if it is a light flicker with an animated texture of a flame in that one, I wonder why the scene looks so good ! Aha, why doesn't it look like the polygons from ps3 ! Why didn't no one made a CGI looking game before on teh last gen ! Uhuh ! THe gfx are so bad on this one :yep2: ! Just some polygons and textures ! Nothing special at all. They must have some really stupid artists in there, really average aesthetics and really under skilled professionals in RAD.

The whole point of realtime gfx is to cheat and get best results with minimal performance ovrehead.

DDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

a whole bunch of my (virtual) friend already playing THE ORDER 1996.... bah! HOW HOW HOW the heck they can get one -___- /me spamming my friends right now

EDIT:
oooooh! got the answer. the game store put the game as "Pre Order" on their website, but they actually already start shipping the disc to customer. Trick to not break the street date?

clicked that website... ?? the most expanded section is "gameplay" and he does not really explain how it weak, how its awesome. other than saying it is weak..

details man..

He said that the game have good 3rd person shooter mechanic, weak stealth, wonky black sight. But did not explain anything about them.

Well my copy has been dispatched by Amazon so I guess I'll be finding out tomorrow morning exactly what it is about this game that scares a certain portion of the gaming community so much!

Do you really want to go there?

D3 CGI uses *real* hair (btw, The Order doesn't have real hair primitives), and an order of magnitude better of the following: SSS, smoke, fire, skin, DOF, polygons, etc.. etc..

I think some of you want so bad to be playing a game that looks like CGI but if you really looked at this stuff on a daily basis, you'd realize how much far off games are from CGI.
I believe that because you are working with graphics is easy to see what The Order does and doesnt do, hence, your perception about what approaches CGI is a lot different than the rest. ;)
I dont think its because people WANT to believe. The visual impact they get is similar for those people.

I didn't say it's approaching D3 CGI in raw numbers now did I? I clearly stated in Looks so it means what can be perceived with rather than scrutinized with. So based on that no other game looks early as close to D3 CG as The Order does to me, if The Sorcerer demo turns out to be a game then that might be even closer.

EG: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-02-19-the-order-1886-review

Short, shallow yet utterly sumptuous, The Order: 1886 is a narrative-driven shooter that already feels dated.
Really like EG's soundbite summary instead of dumb scores!

Much has already been made of The Order's running time - I clocked it in around 7 hours
EG also make note of the existence of padding - real padding duplicating environments and encounters, and the hand-held investigation/admiration mode is a fixed length.

Importantly, "There are no levelling weapons, no branching narrative decisions, no litany of unlockables - and there's absolutely no reason to return once it's all over." So only buy if you're happy with a 7 hour-ish one-off event. According to EG. Other reviews may vary.

im still waiting for the local-PSN price. Hopefully sony did not forgot to release it. yeah its weird but they forgot about driveclub (they put the PS plus upgrade BEFORE release, while the normal PSN version comes a few days late). Hopefully wont happen with Pre Order 1886

reviews from all around the outlet

- bland gameplay
- bland story
+ awesome graphic

i suspect the gameplay is bland and the graphic is awesome but.. i though this game heavily focused on story, thus the story will be awesome and awesomely presented. When you guys got the game, pleeeeeeease share here whats your opinion especially on the story and its presentation.

EDIT:
omg ars' review http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/02/the-order-1886-review-means-to-an-unsatisfying-end/

The good
  • The more outlandish weapons are fun while they last.
  • The game's writing and presentation take some very refreshing risks, especially toward the end*.
The bad
  • What little combat there is feels outdated compared to modern shooters.
  • Non-combat gameplay means a lot of linear walks down hallways and through alleys.
  • A total lack of resolution for most of the game's story beats.
  • While it does pick up, there are pacing issues in the game's first half.
The ugly
  • You start the game by gunning down escaped mental patients. Despite being told not to kill them, you don't have a choice. It's more than a bit unsettling, and the game never addresses it.

*And then it ends. The story structure features an introduction, rising action, a climax, and, in place of a resolution, the credits roll. Those eleventh hour reveals and character developments have no time to go anywhere. Mysteries raised at the very end of the game go unanswered. The main plot that the game spends most of its passive storytelling efforts setting up remains unresolved.

Release the Photomode asap I say as it would easily add a good 10-15hrs if you know what I mean. It's the only thing that can remedy the short length and add re playability at this stage, for a game that's so focused on presentation, I'm surprised PM is not included day one.

Fuck ! This game looks like :runaway: :runaway: !
Pity the people who are unable to celebrate this game and are bitching about this and that ! This is sorcery :yep2:, man ! So fucking cool ! this is amazing next-gen shit we always wanted !

That specific gif is the amazing next-gen shit we always wanted? Of all the things in that game that I'd pick to talk about, that wouldn't be it.

Honestly, anyone who's seen the youtube videos should more or less agree with this, it shouldn't be a surprise...
