Ugh! Wow. That's some wicked gender bias if ever I saw! :D

Whoah. I would have thought the process was a bit more scientific than essentially the flip of a...spider, in this case. lol

Oh, so yours isn't full size yet then. How big is it?

Btw, have fun finding an empty carapace sitting in your terrarium...

We need an RSPC thread for male equality in nature! :-D

It's about 1" diagonal leg span. It can grow to about 6-7".

Well, considering that English has some weird pronunciation rules (if there are any, haha!), it doesn't seem that bad to me. :-D

"Aluminum"... ¬_¬ Really? One of my pet peeves. A-lu-mi-nI-um. Why not "titanum" and "uranum", too? Ok, let's take letters out of words just because.

The other day someone asked me if I develop mobile apps as a job or a hobby. Well, my brain got all tangled up and I ended replying "as a jobby", as it is a mix of both. I do it for fun and I also make decent money from it equivalent to a second wage.

Maybe there's a more appropriate thread to ask this, but (and excuse this very basic question)... what cable do I need to connect two computers and play via LAN? I just assumed I needed an Ethernet cable, but somewhere I read that it had to be a "crossed" cable because the standard cables only worked to connect a PC to a router. :-?

(I want to play Dune 2000 with another player via LAN)

    Yup, something like this:

Also, thumbs up for Dune! Dune II (not 2000) was my first RTS ever, spent ages playing it on an old 386 :D

Mine too! There was an old floppy disk that I played in my uncle's old Amiga 500. ^_^ I spent so much hours with that game when I was a little kid

Haven't Ethernet controllers had the ability to auto-mdx for direct connections for like a decade now? Cross-over cables aren't required anymore.

I didn't have a clue. That's why I found it weird when I read about that need to have a "special" cable.

It's a terrible idea though. Don't you have a router with multiple ethernet ports? Or simply buy a cheap 5-port switch and connect them whilst keeping your internet connection active as well.

Not so much ago I learned that there's something called fart porn. I was in shock. I also noticed that this "genre" mostly comes from Brazil, and this is why I talk about this to every Brazilian I know. I need to know what the hell is going on in that country. Too much feijoada, perhaps?

As a brazilian I've never heard about such thing, but I believe you since you are Beyond3D's Official Fart Porn Expert ®™.
But the culprit isn't feijoada, it's the fact that brazilians have shit for brains, something that became blatantly obvious during the coup d'état of 2016 (yet another in our collection and the reason why our president was absent during the 2016 Olympic ceremonies). You see, the methane gas expands inside the head and goes to all body cavities, and the behavioural consequences range from fart-porn to coup-d'états. It also causes global warming.

Wow, such a great explanation and post!! Adorei!

PS: how convenient, I say "adorei" since I heard this word in that fart porn video (one girl said that to the other girl just after... well, you know; she said "nooooosssssssssaaaaaaaaa... gostosa... adorei!"). In fact, sometimes I say "KEEP CALM AND ADOREI".

Don't you ever feel that having so many things in your head it's almost like a torture? I mean in a creative way. I can't tell my mind not to imagine new things, stories, etc. Even though most of the time this is great, sometimes it can become really exhausting. :-S

Yup. At some points I do some cleaning though, not necessarily by dropping some (although I occasionally do), but through defining what are the priorities, what's more easily achievable or interesting, etc. I cannot stay eternally on a state of "open ideas" or it really starts affecting my well being / sleep and stressing me a lot.

Yes, I know what you mean. The problem is when you are sure that none of those ideas deserves being dumped... :-S
