It makes sense, because they're completely different applications with completely different markets. The programming APIs aren't even the same - I mean, doubt Intel's going to replace D3D with SYCL and oneAPI.
Well last year they had nearly nothing, but, after a rough start, I kind of like what they're doing, their drivers are a lot better, even if far from perfect. RT is solid, XeSS is looking good... For a first try (well, after may years, and not considering igps), they're doing fine imo. Need more raw power for the high end now, If they decide to compete there one day....
