i cant see it. unless they get more powerful and cheaper. Who knows ive been wrong plenty of times. but i cant see them taking off in the next few years.

It will only take off in a somewhat major way if they implement a software keyboard IMO. It has benefits over notebooks, but it also has disadvantages such as not being able to have the display stand while you type. You need a table in order for the display to stand o its own. I'm speaking about the slate designs here not the convertible notebook->tablet PC.
