Tables Turn Again (iXBT/Digit-Life Gainward 5900 GS review)

Did Tom ever post VGA charts over the last year that ATi was the Fastest??

Also...
nV knows it--they are the same problems they've had since last August when the R300's began shipping...everything that's happened since has resulted from a panicked effort to control the damage.
Nvidias Problems are about to get even worse.... Unless they happen to have a FX5900Ultra-Ultra, or a FX6000 sitting around.. ;)

I believe they do. Wasn't it called the NV36?

Nevermind what I just said, I must've read something wrong. Anyhow, they can still simply overclock the NV35 to face off against the R360, which may be an interesting battle.

You mean like the eVGa Fx5900U that tried to get released at 500mhz?? but had so many poblems they released an official Bios that forced it back to 450mhz like everyone else???

The Nv35 is Basically the exact same speed as the 9800pro and even at 500mhz its only a few FPS faster in a few more cases.

I still find it amazing that people say they don't mind the image loss because it gives a performance gain. I mean, how stupid are these people? If they REALLY thought that, then why did they ever select the Quality option?

That's the question I've always asked. I don't recall anyone who supported IQ lowering giving me an answer
