strained silicon manufacturing process

dunno if anybody has seen this
is it something similar that IBM did with Al-Cu a while ago or is it completely different?

Strained silicon has to do with forcing the atoms in the silicon crystal further apart, making the movement of current inside the transistors easier, while the Al-Cu had to do with the transition chip manufacturers made from aluminum connecting wires to copper to help lowering resistance between transistors.

IBM is not alone in having copper, as most manufacturers use it now.
