STOP THE POP-UP TERROR

This new pop-up ad terror (since a few days) is intolerable.
After browsing through the fori, reading some threads, there are easily 20+ popup windows minimized to the taskbar.

Put a stop to it, will you!

The problem is that first we haven't changed anything with our advertisers, so its not something that I can just 'put a stop to' (all I can do is put a request in to ask what is happening) and it doesn't appear to be occuring with everyone - I'm getting no pop-ups at all.
