I wonder how they are going to enhance the gameplay? Maybe make it a little easier in some spots so you don't do them again and again.

The graphics I guess won't huge hugely different, they most likely will still be using the same engine.

It will probably look pretty nice and be a good game (at least to the people who liked the first one, I´ve heard many complaints about the camera from the people that didn´t), but since this is a multiplattform release, I´m not expecting the graphics to be much better.

means simoultaneous release for all consoles?? Or first release on XB and then later for others??

Didn't Splitner Cell sell more on XB than PS2&GC? Like a mil+ while PS2&GC had ~400k?

Didnt MGS2:Sub sold a lot less on XB than on PS2....? :D BTw your point??

Point was that Splinter Cell was the first multiplatform game that sold better on XB.. it was also one of the first that was significantly better (gfx wise) too.

The industry trend has been multiplatform, yes, but to put the majority of resources into the PS2 version, then slopily port them to GC & Xbox. SC bucked that trend and did it the other way around :p

I don't really care, I didn't like the game much at all, but its interesting to point out nonetheless :p

A game always sells better on the original console...are there any exceptions??? :?:

You mean this time PS2/GC got slopy port?? ;)
BTW if a game is simetanously released on all consoles then PS2 port will always get the max attention not becse developers love PS2, becse PS2 has the largest installed base......

Sure, how about all the Sega DC games that got shoveled over to the PS2/GC/Xb? :p

Seriously though, thats a tough question since the majority of comparisons will be between the XB/GC and PS2 (who has like 4 times the userbase).

I don't know if it was the marketing, 'hush' on exclusivity or what, but SC on Xbox was a bit of an anomoly as far as multiplatform sales trends go.

Xbox version was released six months earlier, during the holiday season. Had it been released in that period first on PS2 instead, you can imagine how much would it sell.

I haven't even seen the sales of that game for PS2/GC. Where did you found that data?

6month gap will do that to a game (though I don't know SC sales for other platforms), I don't think it's the first one either. IIRC transworld surf sold poor on PS2 too.
If anything, the real multiplatform anomaly was Turok, which was a simultaneous release yet still sold worse on PS2 (at least for the first month).

Well for one, UbiSoft beat many a drum when SC on XB broke 1 million over the holidays, and there hasnt been a wimper from them since regarding the ports performance.

I guess we'll know for sure when NPD gets off their asses and releases figures.

I totally forgot about the Holiday season factor too, heh, woops!

I also matters if the game release overlaps with some of the other major releases for one of platforms (where a given game will obviously get ignored for another, more anticipated game) or if there's been a drought of games for another platform (where people will rush to buy a game even if it may not be AAA quality).

Yeah, Zelda took the GC cake this quarter, and I guess the PS2 camp flocked to The Getaway (or something) :p

oh my god, the first PS3 game screenshots!

well guys, would you expect this level of grafx or much more complex then this?
