Heatpipes have been used in consoles before. They enjoy economies of scale because of their use in laptops, and they can be designed and rated to be capable of the removal of kilowatts worth of heat.
A combination of simple fans, heatpipes and heatsink will be more than sufficient. The magic will be in the overall cooling system design that utilises these elements.
Hopefully designing around lead-free solder issues will also make YLOD and RROD a thing of the past also.
