Spider-Man 2 (might contain spoilers)

Ok, came back from a midnight showing of spidy 2. My review/opinion:

WOW

Best movie in a long time. I laughed over some of the scenes for over 5 minutes.

I would not howerver recommend the movie for young children. There is a scene which is quite grusome.

I kinda enjoyed the first one, is this one better, more mature, more normal? Kinda like the difference between Xmen and Xmen2, where the first was an "intro" and the second was a full fledged movie, and a fantastic one at that too.....

This movie is at least a million times better than the first.

Theres less romance and more self inspection. Peter throught the film question whether he wants a normal life or a heroes life. Quite interesting, some of the scene mirror alot of dilemas in real life.

The humour, god was it funny. There is one scene in an elevator where youll die laughing. Hardly any dialogue, but i got tears in my eyes from all the laughing.

I would definatly recommend skipping school/work to watch this movie.

i watched Spiderman 2 about 8 hours ago. it was very boring. i saw Dodgeball the day before and, after having seen SM2, I wish I'd gone for another round of DB.... and DB wasn't really that great of a movie. The elevator scene was pretty amusing, but that was definitely the height of the movie. I would not recommend wasting the $7 on this one.

People made fun of the endings in lord of the rings ? well this had just as many . It should have stopped with her going to her fiancee , but no , we needed a wedding part , then we needed her to run out on the wedding and go to him , then we needed him to go swinging around .

Seems just as bad as the lord of the rings .

All in all it was more solid than the orignal but thats to be expected you already introduced the main chars and now you can have fun with them.

I am personaly not a fan.

I don't like what they did with spider man.

unfortunatly they cant keep every single thing in the comic book. its not feasable. i believe this will be a trilogy, and it will have a nice conclusion with harry as son of goblin. I dont think they will do venom/carnage, kinda complicated.

Im not sure what u and sage went to watch, but spiderman2 was a freaking awesome movie. Big fan of spidy and they did a pretty good job on translating a comic book into a movie.

the only comics that I'd ever read were a few Sonic the Hedgehog issues. Never read Spiderman, didn't even WANT to see the movie, never saw the first one either. I think the whole thing is rather dumb and borish. Now, don't take that as me saying that it IS dumb and borish, just that to me it is... and I recognize that to some it isn't, I just happen to not enjoy comics andREALLY not enjoy superheroes. The only reason I went to see it was cause I was going with a very attractive young lady... whom I ended up having to sit behind, all alone. Oh, and her brother had just given a very swift punch to the stomache and so that was bothering me a bit as well. So, I suppose all of these things may have influenced my opinion on the movie. Still, I would not have enjoyed it had it not been for all of the negative aspects... only I likely wouldn't have been quite so bitter about the experience.

Well there's comics and then there's comics. Things like Sin City are really novellas with pictures. Books like Elektra Assassin are works of art. Kingdom Come takes well known characters into the twighlight of their lives. Luthor Arkwright is a dimension hopping, Jerry Cornelius-esq story. Marvels does a beautifully rendered take on the Marvel universe from the point of view of a normal man living through amazing times. Crash is one of the first every computer generated comics that show darker, more cyberpunkish characters. Even Dark knight Returns (arguably the book that started the current regeneration of comics and the subsequent Batman/Tim Burton films and now Marvel movies), does a new, and much darker take on an old character at the end of his life.

These "books with pictures" really deserve some new kind of name to indicate they are really far more than the stereotypical superhero comic for kids.

It was awesome.
There is a good amount of setup for any future movies they might want to make too.

Oh, and that whole train sequence was pretty unreal.

Just wait there is still doc conners the lizzard . Almost all of his villians older ones at least are sience based.

This was before mutations . So it was other an accident that happend or an experiment that did it to them

Much better trilogy .

First one peter gets his powers fights green goblin and gwen dies after showing they were really in love.

Second one he is struggling with giving up spiderman because of what happened , mj is there to help him through everything . Doc conner becomes the lizard spiderman stops him before he can kill his own son. Helps to make it so conners can control the lizard from coming out .He stays spiderman because of that .

Part 3 he falls in love with mj and he fights harry and harry dies telling him he was his best friend.


All this is in the comics and it all worked realyl well the first time .





Btw i would love a green lantern movie but it would cost so much.

Kyle has an awsome story line .

He is an artist. Gets the last power ring. major force kills his gf stuffs her in the fridge. He fights hal jorden and blows up oa . hals ring and pie face remake oa . Kyle becomes a god with all the green lantern energy. He rekindles the power battery.

There is so much you could do. IT would be the best comic movie ever made

really ? we have 12:01 showings all the time .

They set spiderman up to break records though.

For lord of the rings rotk they did 12:01 showings but the earliest the next day was 12pm . Spiderman 2 started playing at 10am . Which is just nuts .

It still coulnd't beat shrek 2 .But thats because shrek 2 was so short so more showings per screen.
