"president (of a company)"(eng) == "verkställande direktör"(swe), usualy abbreviated to "VD".
A rather common misstake (it's even been in an english version of my companys annual report, luckily it was spotted before it made it to the public), is to refer to the president as the companys VD.
Since there is a lot of Swedes that doesn't understand how wrong that is, I'll point out: VD = veneral disease.
But in some cases, that might be a rather good description.
