Hi,
Just got back from travelling around Europe for the past week and I thought I'd post some impressions on the show.
Nintendo:
No Wii that I could find, just a lot of DSs everywhere. There were some nice new DS games like Castlevania, but other than that nothing that impressed.
Microsoft:
Played Need for Speed Carbon, Sonic and Virtua Tennis 3. They were all pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Sonic had a terrible lot of slowdown.
Sony
No playable PS3, although this we already knew.
Some good PSP games like Ace Combat X, etc.
Checked out the PS3 itself, with some quick impressions below.
1. PS3 is huge. Much bigger in real life than I thought it would be.
2. PS3 controller is extremely light. It almost feels fake, but I turned on the controller and it worked, so it's okay there. The L2 R2 triggers also felt very nice. They were kind of slanted outward and just looked and felt much better than I had originally imagined.
3. The Dev Kit is pretty slick, although it's much deeper than I had previously imagined. Get to play around with that a little more today
