Lightsabers cauterize the wound as they cut, thus completely preventing blood loss. Presumably blasters do the same, although it's curious how blasters (btw, star wars' blasters aren't lasers) will cut an armoured droid in half but a person will just slump over...

Except, if I remember correctly, there was blood in the first movie, when Obi-Wan hacks of the arm of that guy who was pushing Luke around.

To a certain degree. However, the school I teach at here sells several thousand tickets to movies each week. They only sell that much, though, because the tickets only cost 1 yuan each, (around 13 cents), and none of that money ever makes it back to the studios.
