Should Intel discontinue the Netburst architecture?

Here's a link that states that Intel is moving away from Netburst that has a bit of credibility.

I am a P6 core fan because I had a PIII-S 1.13GHz (512kb L2).
It was cool (only 29 watts), quiet, fast, rock solid.
I always wanted a P6 core with a faster (like DDR) low latency (onchip) bus, improved FPU with multiply-and-add (MA) and somekind of micro 370 socket (smaller than the 478 socket)
