Right now it's unclear if the launch PS3 comes with Linux pre-installed in the HDD. It'll come eventually, but when and how is the question.

You'd be better off using mplayer with ffmpeg than some RealMedia crap.

No Real shit on my PS3, thankyouverymuch.

Personally, I am somewhat doubtful there will actually BE a full linux OS for PS3. Or at least one that will cost me much less than the PS2 linux kit. We have way too little in the way of concrete info to support that idea, unfortunately.
